Quick revision of pronunciation of flashcards for colours. Teaching the learning intentions (Development) Discuss with pupils what furniture they saw in the film, clock etc. Intro vocabulary for furniture using flashcards – choral repetition. Furniture Bingo – use scissors already set on each table for the pupils to cut out their grid worksheets to provide individual cards with an image and their labels in French. Pupils will then use their laminated bingo grids to place each card randomly on a square of the grid. Call out items of furniture and the first pupil to complete a line wins. Paired speaking task – pupils will take it in turns to ask their partner what they have in their room using the furniture vocabulary “Do you have…” the partner will answer “Yes, I have…/No, I don’t have...” Pupils may use vocabulary support sheets. Ending the lesson (Plenary) In table groupings, pupils must write down as many furniture words as they and include one descriptive word with them. The table with the most words written correctly will win table points. Ask for answers from each table. Tidy away ML materials
